A pediatric-focused dental practice in Tallahassee, Florida is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pedodontist to provide comprehensive dental care for infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs. This role focuses on preventive, restorative, and behavior-guided treatment while fostering a positive and educational experience for both patients and parents.
The ideal candidate is clinically confident, patient, and comfortable managing behavior guidance techniques while maintaining high standards of care. This position offers strong clinical autonomy, collaboration with an experienced team, and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with families in a supportive practice environment
Skills: Providing preventive, restorative, and emergency dental treatment for pediatric patients
Managing behavior guidance and ensuring patient comfort during procedures
Performing pulp therapy, stainless steel crowns, and pediatric restorative procedures
Educating parents and caregivers on oral hygiene and preventive care
Developing age-appropriate treatment plans
Collaborating with general dentists and specialists when needed
Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
Ensuring compliance with safety, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations
Supporting sedation cases when applicable
Promoting a welcoming, positive patient experience
Requirements: Strong clinical skills in pediatric dentistry
Effective communication with children and parents
Behavior management techniques
Team collaboration and leadership
Commitment to preventive education
DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
Completion of accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency
Board certification or eligibility preferred
Active dental license in good standing
Strong commitment to child-centered care
